The Fulton County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed bids for Ditch No. 2117 – Deer Creek Estates Subdivision Storm Water Outlet at the Fulton County Commissioners’ Office, at 152 S. Fulton Street, Suite 270, Wauseon, Ohio  43545 until 9:30 a.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013.  At 9:31 a.m. that day, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.


The project is located in Clinton Township in Fulton County and the work plan includes the installation of approximately 1100 feet of 15-inch tile main along with 6-inch and 8-inch sub-mains and appurtenances.  The Engineer’s Estimate is $27,928.34.


Complete sets of bidding documents for the project will be available for examination, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the office of the Fulton County Engineer, 9210 County Road 14, Wauseon, OH  43567. 


Bids must be submitted bound in their entirety and on the forms furnished in the Bidding Document; must contain the names of every person or company interested therein; and Pursuant to ORC §153.54, each bidder shall be required to file with the bid one of the following:


  1. A bond in accordance with division (B) of Section ORC §153.54, providing for the Bid Guaranty and the Contract Bond in the full amount of the bid; or
  2. A Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Letter of Credit, pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, in accordance with division (C) of §153.54.  The Amount of the Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Letter of Credit shall be equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid.  If this option is used, a Performance Bond issued by a surety company in the amount of 100% of the contract price shall be furnished by the successful bidder as a condition of the contract.


Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual opening thereof.  The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities in any bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the County.
