Re: Work-Search Requirements Notification
Beginning the week of May 23, you will be required to conduct at least two work-search activities each week that you file a claim for unemployment benefits. You also will be required to keep a detailed log of your weekly work-search activities in the event of a future audit/review. This requirement was previously waived, but it has been reinstated in light of the wide availability of vaccines and Ohio’s improved economy. Each week that you file for benefits, you will be asked to enter the work-search activities that you conducted for the previous week. Acceptable work-search activities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Interviewing for suitable work
• Creating a personal user profile on a professional networking site (such as LinkedIn)
• Creating and maintaining a reemployment plan
• Creating and maintaining a searchable, active resume on OhioMeansJobs.com
• Completing a career profile in OhioMeansJobs.com
• Any other good faith reemployment strategy reasonably expected to result in
👉 Please note: Failure to provide information about your two work-search activities may result in a delay or denial of your unemployment benefit claim.👈
