FREE WEATHERIZATION SERVICES 

AVAILABLE TO ELIGIBLE HOMEOWNERS THROUGH 

NORTHWESTERN OHIO COMMUNITY ACTION COMMISSION’S 

HOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC) has funding available to provide Weatherization services at no charge to eligible homeowners OR tenants.  Services are provided in the six county areas to include Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding Van Wert and Williams counties.

Weatherization measures may include insulation of attics, sidewalls and crawlspaces, wrapping water heaters with insulated jackets and water lines with pipe wrap, sealing areas of air leakage, correcting Health & Safety issues with heating units or water heaters and sealing ductwork to prevent heat/cooling loss.  In addition the replacement of non-energy star rated refrigerators and light bulbs with LED bulbs will be assessed which will lower the amount of energy consumed, thus lowering future utility bills for the homeowners.  Educational materials will also be provided to homeowners with tips for continued energy conservation and cost savings. 

Eligibility is based on 200% 0f the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines.

Funding is limited and applications will be prioritized in the order they are received.
