Judge Jeffrey L. Robinson was born and raised in Wauseon, Ohio, graduating from Wauseon High School in 1970. Judge Robinson attended Miami University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974.
The Judge received his legal education at The University of Toledo College of Law obtaining his Juris Doctor in December of 1976. The Judge later obtained additional legal training at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. He returned to Ohio and was admitted to the practice of law in November of 1977.
Judge Robinson was formerly with the law firm Barber, Kaper, Stamm, Robinson and McWatters having helped to establish the practice in 1981. The Judge’s prior legal service included the positions of Solicitor of Lyons for eight years, Assistant Law Director for the City of Wauseon for seven years, Law Director for the City of Wauseon for sixteen years and Assistant Solicitor for the Village of Delta for twenty years.
In February of 2005, Judge Robinson was appointed to the position of Western District Court Judge by Governor Robert Taft until being elected as Common Pleas Court Judge with his term beginning January 1st, 2017.
The Judge served on the Wauseon Board of Education for twelve years. He has also been a member of the Republican Central Committee, served on the Wauseon Homecoming Committee, the Perry-Kraus Scholarship Committee, The United Way and has been a member of the Wauseon Rotary Club since 1981. The Judge is a member of the First Christian Church in Wauseon, the American Bar Association, The Ohio Bar Association and The Fulton County Bar Association.
Judge Robinson has been married to his wife Melinda since 1978. They have 3 children and 8 grand-children, all of whom reside in Wauseon.
