Intern for Fulton County Airport
James recently graduated from Wauseon High School and will be attending Bowling Green State University. He will be attending BGSU for their Flight Technology and Operations major. James has a passion for flying and learning the most about the aviation industry. Over the past summer, he earned his private pilot's license.
In his free time, he enjoys learning from other pilots and hearing about their experiences. James also enjoys walking outside, partaking in the game of golf and tennis, playing the piano and trumpet; however, above all, he likes to spend time working on vehicles. James works mainly in the evenings and is trained on our fuel systems along with other systems in the Fulton County Airport. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!
Airport Guest Manager
Ruth Baumgartner joined the Fulton County Airport team as the Airport Guest Manager and Office Manager for the County's Economic Development Corporation in February of 2021. After majoring in Business Management at NSCC, she became interested in this position due to the dynamic workplace and beneficial impact she could have in the community. She now works to provide an excellent experience for all guests of the Fulton County Airport through management of the office while assisting with the projects of the FCEDC.
Ruth is also a full-time Accounting student at Bowling Green University where she plans to continue her education while working. Through a variety of work experiences, she has found much pleasure in leadership, serving individuals in her community, and opportunities for challenge and growth. She strives for excellence in her favorite hobbies including equine activities, archery, art, and literature.
Matt Gilroy joined the Fulton County Economic Development Corporation in August of 2014 as the first Executive Director of the newly formed non-profit organization. Matt has more than ten years of experience in the non-profit sector and has extensive experience in business development, fundraising and managing non-profit organizations. Prior to joining the FCEDC Matt worked at Defiance College as the Chief Development Officer, overseeing a staff of nine people in Advancement and Alumni Relations, and at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital Foundation, where he increased annual contributions more than 300% over his tenure.
Kelly Carey joined the Fulton County Economic Development Corporation as Assistant Director in August 2018. She brings experience in community development, planning, and training and leadership. She attended the University of Michigan where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Urban and Regional Studies. Kelly was proud to be a member of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society and graduated with High Distinction and University Honors.
