GIS

The Fulton County GIS Department was established in 1997 by the County Engineer's Office and, since January 2010, officially resides under the direction of the Fulton County Auditor's Office.

The Fulton County's GIS Department is responsible for creating, maintaining and disseminating the county's comprehensive GIS dataset consisting of over 80 data layers including but not limited to parcels, address points, road centerlines, political boundaries such as townships, municipalities, schools, tax districts, various land marks, rail roads, and voting precincts.

Since its inception, the Fulton County GIS Department's rich datasets have been used by a variety of county, city and village jurisdictions and in numerous applications such as: appraisal, planning, economic development, E-911, board of elections, code compliance, utilities, engineering, water & waste water mapping among others. The GIS Department's mission is to assist all other county departments in discharging their duties efficiently and effectively by creating beneficial data, maps and applications.
