These rain barrels are food quality high density poly ethylene barrels that were
previously used for food product shipping. They are cleaned and rinsed
with rain water and PH neutral soap so you don't need to worry about harsh
contaminants getting on your plants. Before determining which color or
size barrel to order there are several factors to consider.
There
are holes drilled into the lid for the water to drain into from your downspout.
The screen on top keeps out the debris from the roof and keeps insects out.
Since all the barrels have a garden hose size spigot at the
bottom of the barrel you have options on how to water your plants. A
standard garden hose, landscape tubing, or drip tubing can be attached to the
barrel. If you want to use a watering can, simply elevate the rain barrel
so you can fill the can easily. The barrels have an overflow fitting to
allow the excess water that flows from the downspout to be diverted away from
the barrel. A linking connector will allow you to connect more than one
barrel together with hoses so that you can fill more than one barrel with one
downspout.

The 55-gallon barrel comes in terra-cotta,

The
50-gallon barrel comes in brown (shown) and terra-cotta, cost is $63.00
Automatic rain diverter to fit 2" x 3" downspout.
This diverter also comes in a 3" x 4" size. Barrel will fill when
empty. Once barrel is full the rainwater will be diverted back to the
original downspout automatically. Cost is $28.00.
Black linking hose ½" x
