Fulton SWCD 60th Annual Meeting & Banquet

Please mark your calendar to attend the Fulton SWCD 60th Annual Meeting and Banquet on Thursday, December 4, 2008.  This will be held at Founder’s Hall, Sauder Village on State Route 2, Archbold, Ohio. The family-style roast beef and broasted chicken dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. Social hour with appetizers and voting for the Supervisor Election will take place before dinner starting at 5:30 p.m.  

An election will be held to fill two positions for the SWCD Board of Supervisors. Every resident of Fulton County, over 18 years of age is eligible to vote for District Supervisors.  The candidates running for supervisor positions are Troy Najarian, Chesterfield Township, Jack Rupp, Franklin Township, and Bill Shininger, Fulton Township.  The voting process will be very similar to voting in the general election. When you arrive at Founder’s Hall, you will sign the voter registry and be given a ballot. You will mark your ballot in a private voting booth and then deposit your ballot in the ballot box. If you cannot attend the meeting, you may still come to vote between 5:30 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. or you may obtain an absentee ballot from the office. Following dinner will be the presentation of various awards, including Cooperator of the Year, Booster of the Year, CREP Achievement and Soil Judging Contest.

The featured entertainment of the evening will be magic performed by Jania Taylor, Archbold, Ohio.   Door prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the evening’s events.
