Two public hearings
will be held on August 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. The first hearing
pertains to the rezoning of three (3) parcels of land in York
Township. The second hearing involves amending the Fulton
County Rural Zoning Resolution. Commissioner Barnaby made the
motion and Commissioner Short seconded the motion. Motion
carried unanimously. |

On July 16, 2009,
the Commissioners held the bid opening for the contractual
service of providing containers and the disposal of waste for
the Solid Waste Facility.

This bid was
referred to the Director of Solid Waste for review and
recommendation for award of bid.
With the
recommendation of the Director of Solid Waste, the Bid was
awarded to Allied Waste Services of Bryan, Ohio. Commissioner
Barnaby made the motion and Commissioner Short seconded the
motion. Motion carried unanimously. |

On July 16, 2009,
the Commissioners held the bid opening for the contractual
service of recycling ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The bids were
referred to the Director of Solid Waste and Recycling for review
and recommendation for award of bid.
With the
recommendation of the Solid Waste and Recycling Director, both
bids are hereby rejected for the lack of proper bond security.

Soil and Water
Conservation District-Departmental Update |
Kim Bowles and Curt
Jones were present to update the Board. Mr. Jones went through
a list of expenses that are now being cut due to budgets:

The annual
meeting will not be held at Founders Hall. Instead, the
election will be conducted at the SWCD office in an open
house forum on December 3, 2009
-
District
newsletters will be cut from 6/year to 2/year
-
The amount of
conservation camp scholarships will be decreased
-
The amount of
financial support to the ag fest will be decreased
-
The financial
support for the air tour is being cut in half. The rest
will be sponsored.
-
No attendance to
the winter and summer meetings or state employees meeting
-
Reduction of
education resources purchasing
This will result in
approximately $20,000 in cuts. |
