· County Sanitary Engineer, Ziad
Musallam, to discuss:
1.Northeast Fulton County Water System
2. State Route 108 Waterline Replacement Project
3. Ohio EPA Sewer Plants Inspection Reports |
Village of Metamora has entered
into water service agreement for the Northeast Fulton County
Water System. Also authorized funding for preliminary
engineering up to $125,000.00 for half of the estimated cost.
State Route 108 Waterline Replacement Project has been having
issues and watermain breaks. The line is cast iron. The pipe
needs replaced on the westside of the road. This is a two mile
project, starting at 20A north to Rd. J. The cost est. is
$950,000.00. Possible funding sources are CDBG, Federal stimulus
funds, EPA, OPWC, OWDA. Ohio EPA has expressed interest in the
project. Income survey's went out Friday. Two week turnaround
time is required. Commissioner Genter asked the odds of funding
and Mr. Musallam feels that the project is lined up for funding
for stimulus funds. Commissioner Genter asked about the Wauseon-Archbold
connection. The project was submitted as an emergency connection
only as requested by both communities. Commissioner Genter would
like to see this as a regional concept, not emergency only. Mr.
Musallam feels that it really stands a better chance if it is
regional in nature.
Ohio EPA Sewer Plants Inspection Reports show that we missed the
reporting deadline by the lab. We did the inspection, but did
not file the report by the lab. Report was sent right away. All
plants are acceptable by the EPA. |
