Elections is requesting an increase in pay for poll workers from
$90 to $95 for a full election day of 14 hours for the 2009

To offset costs
associated with the Broadway Street Resurfacing Project, the
Village is requesting the approval to use $79,460.62 in
permissive motor vehicle tax funds. Per ORC, this request has
been forwarded to the County Engineer for his recommendation. |

of Commerce has arranged a visit with Congressman Latta for
Chamber members from Delta, Swanton and Wauseon for Monday, June
16, 2008 at the Valleywood Golf Club Banquet Room. The Board
wishes to attend. |

Pursuant to the
recommendation of the County Engineer, the bid for the 2008
Asphalt Resurfacing Project was awarded to Gerken Paving in the
amount of $1,129,811.15. This amount is below the engineer’s
estimate of $1,133,066.60. Commissioner Barnaby made the motion
and Commissioner Short seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously. |

2008-470 Cancel Public Hearing; Establish View and
Public Hearing Date for Right of Way Vacation Lauber
|
A view was conducted of the
proposed right-of-way vacation petitioned for by Samuel Lauber
on May 15, 2008 and it was discovered that additional landowners
may be affected by this vacation. Upon consulting with the
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, it was suggested that the
process start over to give all affected landowners an
opportunity to participate in the proceedings. The public
hearing scheduled in this matter must be vacated and a new view
and public hearing date must be set.
The new dates are as
follows:
View: June 16, 2008 at
10:00 a.m.
Public Hearing: July 7,
2008 at 10:00 a.m.
