$116,796.00. Commissioner Short made the motion and
Commissioner Genter seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously. |

Director, Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation District
AEPP Applications
Resolution
2008-444

Kim Bowles, Director
of the Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation District,
presented the Board with a list of 5 applicants that the
District is sponsoring for the Agricultural Easement Purchase
Program. She stated that a resolution has been passed by the
Soil and Water Conservation District Board for each applicant
and by their respective Townships, and is now presenting them to
the Commissioners for approval.
Steve Brown,
Regional Planning Director, was also present for the discussion
and stated that none of the applications are in conflict with
Fulton County’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
Commissioner Genter
made the motion to support the applications for farmland
preservation and Commissioner Short seconded the motion. Motion
carried unanimously.
Commissioner Genter
noted that the State needs to recognize that this a working
group between the County and the Soil and Water District and the
efforts to make this part of a planning organization and
further, that the State needs to consider these above the other
applications that are being applied for in the county that are
outside of the county’s sponsorship. |
