Correspondence Regarding the Riviera Mobile Home Court Sanitary
Sewer Service |
Ziad Musallam,
County Sanitary Engineer, was present to address that Board
regarding a letter he sent to the Fayette Village Administrator
regarding the Riviera Mobile Court Sanitary Sewer System. He
stated that this letter of recommendation will be presented to
Village Council for their reconsideration of their recent
decision to not connect to the Mobile Home Court. |

Public Hearing on
Tax Budget |
Commissioner Barnaby
opened the hearing and turned the discussion over to Vond Hall,
County Administrator. Mr. Hall explained the statutory process
by which the tax budget is processed, beginning with the
preparation of the mid-year tax budget. He presented the 2009
Tax Budget to the Board for their review. He explained that for
2008, the numbers represent actual revenue and expenses for the
remainder of the year. For 2009 & 2010, the figures are
estimated. He stated that the biggest reduction in revenue is
in interest income. It is estimated that in comparison with
last years figures of $1.2 million in interest income, only
$800,000 will be brought in this year and next year only
$500,000. He estimates that by the end of the year, $500,000 of
the carryover will have been used for operational expenses. He
stated that the special revenue funds are in good shape though.
The budget was stamped in and will be filed with the Auditor’s
office as required and the final budget must be adopted by the
Board by the 20th of July.
