Adjourn to View Ditch 2105-Eyer

10:00:00 AM

View of Ditch 2105-Eyer

The Commissioners, together with the County Engineer and staff,  and various landowners convened at the Clinton Township Hall for the view of the proposed 2105 Ditch Improvement Project.  Commissioner Barnaby opened the meeting and briefly explained the purpose of the meeting and the ditch improvement process.  He then turned the meeting over to Chief Deputy Engineer, Rod Creager.  Mr. Creager explained that a petition had been filed for drainage improvements and presented an aerial map of the proposed improvement area.  He explained that back in 1902 a 12” tile had been put in and that improvements had been made to the area twice, with the last increase in capacity being in 1956.  This area was also petitioned for improvements in 1977 however the improvement did not move forward due to conflict with city projects.  He further described an initial plan to address the prayer of the petition.  He stated that at the first hearing in this matter, a preliminary report would be prepared and would be able to provide tentative assessments should this project move forward.

The parties then walked to the area of the proposed improvement to further illustrate the problems that are occurring and the steps needed to address the prayer of the petition.

The view ended at 10:54 a.m.
