Review Results of
Well Water Sampling on Durbin Property |
County Sanitary
Engineer, Ziad Musallam, was present for the discussion. A well
water sampling was performed on the Durbin Property located near
the landfill pursuant to a request presented to the Board on
March 6, 2008. The results indicated that all parameters are
within EPA standards for drinking water and the results are
unchanged since the last sampling in 2005. |

December 24, 2007, the Fulton County Soil and Water Conservation
District is Fulton County’s sponsor for the AEPP. A letter will
be sent to the applicants herein and all the townships in Fulton
County informing them of such. |

The Board executed a
proclamation proclaiming Friday, May 9, 2008 to be Child Care
Provider Appreciation Day to recognize the child care providers
in Fulton County for their hard work. |

Regarding Tree Removal |
County Sanitary
Engineer, Ziad Musallam, was present for the discussion. He
presented a letter for the execution by the Board to a landowner
regarding the need for tree removal within the Pleasant View
subdivision. It was discovered through routine inspection that
tree roots have intruded the mains causing slow drains and sewer
backups into properties and further causing physical damage to
the sewer mains. These mains have been cleaned out, however
sewer backup are continuing. There are 3 trees that need to be
removed to prevent further sewer backups and infrastructure
damages.
While there was no
dispute on whether or not the trees need to be removed, the
Board deliberated on who should assume the costs for the tree
removal. The Board agreed that the county will be responsible
for the removal of all 3 trees, with the costs being paid out of
the Pleasant View Sewer Fund. Commissioner Barnaby made the
motion and Commissioner Short seconded the motion. Motion
carried unanimously. |

collective bargaining strategy and Commissioner Short seconded
the motion. Roll call vote: Short, yes; Genter, yes; Barnaby,

however comment was made from Commissioner Short that he does
not agree with the annual percentage increases after the 2nd
and 3rd year. Commissioner Genter stated that in
fairness it needs to mirror the deputies contracts with the
3.25% consistently over the 3 years. Commissioner Barnaby
agrees. |
