Discuss Request for Proposals/Bids for Right to Farm County
Property at Airport

Property acquired by the county for the airport
obstruction project... The county is not required by law to bid
this however, a request for proposals would be recommended. An
agreement could be done for 5 years and then the process would
be repeated. Mr. Hall said that he could draw up language
requesting proposals. Commissioner Genter said it could be too
late for this year if tillage has already been done or
compensation would have to be provided. Commissioner Barnaby
said if they agree to do this for the county owned farmland, it
should be done for all properties. Commissioner Genter said he
would be in favor of the request for proposals and those already
farming the other properties should be informed that at the end
of this farming year what the intentions will be with proposals.
The Dieringer property will be the request for proposal for one
year opportunity. |

Review Cash Flow Forecast - General Fund |
Mr. Hall reviewed his forecast over the year and
future years. He indicated part of this would be a guess such as
interest income. Several projections with different increases in
sales tax were presented. With no increase the county would
start using the carryover more and more. Commissioner Genter
expressed that he did not think it would be good to have two
conflicting tax levys on the ballot. Work sessions will be had
for more attention to this issue and to keep an eye on what
adjustments might be necessary. |

Ziad Musallam was present for discussion and explanation of an
anticipated increase. He informed the Board that when this
increase takes place, users on our end will be paying more. They
will be notified as well. |
