Commissioner Genter seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously. |

Review letter
from Ohio EPA regarding Landfill |
County Sanitary
Engineer, Ziad Musallam, was present for the discussion. He
stated that the letter referenced was part of the EPA's monthly
inspection. He explained that no leachate had been hauled since
last year due to financial reasons, however there are now
permits in place at this time and all is coordinated to start
hauling to Pettisville beginning Tuesday the 4th. |

County Sanitary
Engineer, Ziad Musallam-Update on Elmira/Burlington Sewer
Project |
Ziad Musallam was
present to address the Board. He presented an overall summary of
the project for the Commissioner's review and stated that he has
prepared change order No. 7/final change order for their
consideration. Commissioner Genter inquired what this change
order entailed. Mr. Musallam indicated that it was for storm
sewer tiles and increasing the manhole depth. Other change
orders included charges for tiles that were unknown that needed
fixed, a property extension and premium back fill along Road
23. When asked the projected completion date of this project
Mr. Musallam stated that it was unknown at this time due to
items on the punch list that are still not completed. It was
further noted that the items needed to finish the project have
been ordered by the contractor. He stated that there is also an
issue with approximately 35 property owners that have not
responded to him regarding the tap ends. He will send a follow
up letter to them to again prompt a response and to advise them
that they only have until the end of September to tie in. |

The date of the
county auction is tentative for October 20, 2007 taking into
consideration the Rotary Auction that will be taking place in
October as well. The date will be confirmed upon receipt of the
date of the Rotary Auction to ensure that there is no conflict.

seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. |

Sidewalk Petition |
Notice was received
of a filing of a sidewalk petition by various residents of the
Village of Pettisville on County Road 19, extending south from
SR 2 to the railroad. A viewing of said area will be held on
September 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. and a public hearing on this
matter will be held on November 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the
Commissioner’s Session Room. Commissioner Genter made the motion
and Commissioner Short seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously. |
