9:12:50 AM Discuss Wauseon Recycling Center Proposal and Plan of Action

Mr. Hall presented this proposal and plan of action this morning. A one stop shop is projected by Triangular Processing. Mr. Hall does not believe this will cash flow the way that they have estimated. They have proposed picking up the recyclables with 2 drivers and that they will staff the site. The county will pay utilities and the lease. They have $141,500 projected expense with revenue of $148,000. Mr. Hall does not believe this to be possible revenue. Commissioner Graf said if they pick up, it will help the county. Mr. Hall agreed as we won't have to add an additional driver. He added there will be a clear separation of duties.

This is a proposal to consider. Commissioner Genter commented that he cannot see Mr. Roth sitting up there doing nothing - he would end up doing a lot of the work out there. He added that Triangular is already over-budgeted. Mr. Hall said that he had thought Mr. Roth would coordinate the pickups and maintain the machines...he did not have a complete job description at this point.

Commissioner Graf said he still has some questions with regards to personnel that would lend to an executive session discussion at some point.
