Public Hearing - Proposed Zoning Code Amendment and Two
(2) Zoning District Changes |
Commissioner Graf opened the hearing and
reviewed the requested changes. He informed those present of the
hearing held by the Fulton County Rural Zoning Commission on
January 4, 2006. Steve Brown, Regional Planning Director, was
present to give a brief overlay and synopsis of the proposed
changes.
Mr. Brown started with the zoning district change as requested
by Terry and Shirley Shafer at Co. Rd. 10 and Airport Highway.
He said it is a change that would be more appropriate for that
area. There is water and sewer both available. There is nothing
definate planned for this property at the present time. The
Zoning Commission has recommended approval of the zoning
district change from M-2 to M-3.
Mr. Hall reminded of infrastructure present on this property.
Commissioner Graf asked if Mr. Shafer was aware of this. Mr.
Brown said that he is.
Mr. Brown then reviewed the request for zoning district change
from Roger Spiess/Cheryl Kempf (property on Rt. 109) from AG/RE
to M-1. Commissioner Graf asked for clarification of the parcel
to be rezoned. Mr. Brown pointed it out on the map provided.
Some trading of land with Davis Farm Service, Mr. Spiess, Ms
Kempf and Mr. Mohler will take place.
Mr. Brown then explained the language change in the Fulton
County Rural Zoning Code - Article 100-9.2.
Commissioner Graf opened the floor for any testimony. There was
none.
Commissioner Graf closed the hearing at 10:15.
There will need to be 3 resolutions
