Jan Burkhard, Grants Coordinator Discuss ODOT Aviation
5-Year Capital Improvement Program (ACIP) Report

Glen Lammon and Anita Smith were also present for the
discussion.
Mr. Burkhard presented the 5 Year Airport Capital Improvement
Program Annual Report. This report outline project descriptions
beginning with year 2007 and ending with 2013.
Year 2007 : Land Acquisition
Year 2008 : Snow Removal Equipment, Obstruction Removal -
Runway 27, Justification Study for Runway Ext.
Year 2009 : EA for Runway Extension, Resurface T-Hangar
Taxiways, Seal Coat & Mark Runway, Design Parallel Taxiway
Year 2010 : Parallel Taxiway construction - Phase 2,
Avigation Easements/ObstructionRemoval,
Year 2011 : Design and Construct Runway 27 Extension
Year 2012 : T-Hangar Construction
Year 2013 : AWOS III PT Installation
Commissioner Genter said it looks like the county is on track
with what needs to be done.
Mr. Burkhard then presented the Airport Board recommendation for
Airport Manager/FBO agreement. He also handed out a comparison
between actual costs and income with Rupps and estimated costs
and income with Wright. Mr. Burkhard stated he felt his
estimated numbers were conservative.
Commissioner Genter asked about the contracts for the
hangars...could subleasing language be added to discourage that.
Glen Lammon thought that would help.
Glen Lammon asked about the possibility of advertising for a
board member. They have a position that is vacant. The clerk was
advised to check with Dan Garvin to make sure that position has
not been filled. There was an interested party at their last
meeting.
Commissioner Genter asked if the airport board has moved ahead
with replacing the two av-gas pumps with just one. Mr. Burkhard
said that is the plan but he has not had time to pursue that.
