Shawn Ferguson, Economic Development Director -Department
Update
|
Mr. Ferguson presented requests for a Fulton
County Revolving Loan Fund from Ace Hardware and Salon Serenity.
Also a Fulton County Micro Enterprise Loan fund request from
Peggy Palmer/Independent Contractor for Arbonne International.
The Ace Hardware request involves a shared position with the
City of Wauseon. The Fulton County RLF will also have a personal
quaranty from Jeff Rupp. The request is for $50,000 at a rate of
4.0% for a 7 year period.
The Salon Serenity request is for $25,000 at a rate of 4% for 5
years. Fulton County RLF willt ake a subordinated position and
also will include a personal guaranty from Melissa Garrow.
The Micro Enterprise Loan Fund is for $1000 at a rate of 6% for
a 1 1-2 year period. The Fulton County RLF will have a personal
quaranty from Peggy Palmer.

Mr. Ferguson continued his update |
USDA Broadband seminar - grant and foundation
monies are being sought for the P-16 Council. There is a local
Broadband seminar being held locally on May 4.
Knowledge Works is also coming in as part of the P-16 Council on
May 3 or 4. Mr. Ferguson is looking for a date and time from the
Commissioners to meet with them. May 3 at 2:00 PM will be the
date and time - it will be in the Conference Room here in the
Administration Building.
CIC annual meeting - May 23 (6:00 PM) at the Evergreen High
School. P-16 will be an important part of this meeting as well.
Wastewater Treatment Plant - options are secured. |

H.E.A.T. - Review of Energy Efficiency Program |
A recap was done of each building and the
findings were presented to the Commissioners by the H.E.A.T.
representatives. A total project cost was shown with financing
options (Energy Loan Fund - 2.2%) for 10 years: total 10-year
cost - $897,230 total 10-year savings - $1,095,560 total 10-year
savings $198,330.
After the presentation, Josh said they would be willing to come
back at a later date after the Board has had a chance to look at
their proposal further. |
