9:05:16 AM Discuss Recycling Operations Don Krieger was present for the discussion. Mr. Hall reported on the scrap cardboard generated from Archbold Container at the recycling operations. A ton per day has been the normal. The city of Wauseon has said that they cannot handle the amount that we are sending to them. They have 4 balers. The Board of MRDD (Triangular Processing) has offered the suggestion of splitting the cost of a baler with the County and then half of the proceeds would be realized by the County. Their board has already authorized the purchase of a baler - it would give Triangular Processing more work. At the present time, the County does not receive any monies for the cardboard taken in. Mr. Krieger feels that a baler could be paid for in 6 months.

Commissioner Genter said that he would rather wait and see what Wauseon decides to do. Mr. Krieger also added that Ed Roth is having to run the baler at Wauseon Recycling just to get it unloaded. Commissioner Graf suggested the County buy the baler and offering every other bale to Triangular. Wauseon is reported to be getting out of the business. Commissioner Genter asked where the money would come from. Mr. Krieger said he did not have the money. Mr. Hall said his suggestion would be to try to get a baler from the city, since the county's grant monies have bought the balers with the county taking ownership after a certain period. Mr. Krieger will talk to the mayor possibly as soon as tomorrow.

9:45:09 AM Brian Horst, Fulton County Board of DD - Present Levy Request

*Reolsution 2005-299
President Lisa Meeker, Penny Earl, Karen Cordrey, and John Baumgartner, board members were present. MRDD employees Ruth Spencer, Brian Horst, Beth Friess, and Peg Hooyenga were also present.

Commissioner Graf recognized Ms. Meeker, who handed out packets of their request today. The proposal with specific monies requested were in the packet. There was a "priority list" and a "need list". There is a current waiting list of 41needing homes.

Ken Baumgartner presented the proposal to the Commissioners, asking their support of a 2 mill levy in the fall. The continuing levy they are currently receiving would go away, making this new request a half mill additional to that. Both Commissioner Graf and Commissioner Genter asked about spltting the levy request into two separate levies, taking the chance that the voters may turn the 2 mill down and not getting anything. Ms. Meeker said they want to be as honest with the voters as they can and they feel that this 2 mill is needed, with no luxuries included, to provide the services.

*Asking the County Auditor to certify what the levy request of 2 mills would generate.
