Mr. Ferguson presented a report that included the following areas of information: Active Projects, Administrative, Industrial, Commercial, Workforce Development, Youth, Economic Development Legislation, Fulton County CIC, Facility Tours, and a Schedule of Commissioners Monthly Updates. Mr. Ferguson updated the Commissioners on a petioned zoning change in York Township. This proposed change will go before the Planning Commission on April 26 and before the Zoning Board on April 28. If approved it will then be presented to the Commissioners for consideration. Funding sources are being looked at for the Industrial Corridor Wastewater Treatment Plant. Mr. Ferguson gave dates for area ribbon cuttings and also mentioned there will be a groundbreaking ceremony in May on the corner where Chief Wauseon Motel is currently. The Fulton County CIC Annual Dinner will be held on May 24, 2005 at Lyons, Ohio. More information will be forthcoming on this. Commissioner Genter questioned if Mr. Ferguson would anticipate any consternation over the proposed re-zoning. Mr. Ferguson said yes, they are already looking to address some of those issues right now. | |
| 9:28:24 AM | Ziad Musallam, Sanitary Engineer - Discuss Fulton County Industrial Corridor Wastewater Treatment Plant EPA Public Hearing Notification |
Mr. Musallam just wanted to inform the Board of the posted notice of the EPA public hearing and explained why the agency is holding this hearing. It will be held June 7th at 7:00 at the Delta Municipal Building. Comments from the general public will be taken on general discharge as a result of the proposed wastewater treatment plant. He stressed that this is strictly an EPA hearing and not Fulton County's. Anyone is welcome to attend and Mr. Musallam said that he will be in attendance. Mr. Musallam reported that he is working with Jones & Henry on the design phase for the plant and obtaining permits. Commissioner Genter wondered if the property had been obtained yet. Mr. Hall said that they are working on that but it has not been obtained at this time. Mr. Musallam estimates a timeline of 6 months before the PTI is ready and then going to bid. Commissioner Genter asked if the Turnpike Commission has made any announcement yet. Mr. Musallam said nothing formal at this time. | |
