Sealed Bids for the furnishing of
the necessary labor, materials and construction of the Airport Sewer
Improvements – Sanitary Pump Station & Forcemain, will be received by the Fulton
County Commissioners at 152 South Fulton Street, Suite 270, Wauseon, Ohio 43567
until 9:30 am, local time, on October 24, 2017, and at that time and place will
be publicly opened and read aloud at 9:30 am.
The proposed work consists
of approximately 7600 lineal feet of 3” forcemain sanitary sewer, one sewage pump
station and abandonment of exiting sewer plant.
The Contract Documents, including
Plans and Project Manual with Specifications, are on file at the office of the
Fulton County Public Utilities @ 9306 County Road 14, Suite A, Wauseon, Ohio 43567
(419-337-9263), and Builders Exchange @ 5555 Airport Hwy, Ste 140, Toledo, OH
43615 (419-865-3833). A set may be obtained by depositing $40.00;
check only, with said Fulton County Office.

All bids must be signed and
submitted on the blanks, which are bound in this booklet. Bids must state the unit prices in the blanks
provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked ---AIRPORT SEWER IMPROVEMENTS – SANITARY PUMP STATION & FORCEMAIN---
and addressed to the Fulton County Commissioners at 152 South Fulton Street,
Suite 270, Wauseon, Ohio 43567.
Pursuant to the
provision of Section 153.54 each bidder shall be required to file with his bid
one of the following:
A bond providing for the bid guaranty and the contract bond in the
full amount of the bid, or,
A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit pursuant to
Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code.
The amount of the certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit
shall be equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid.
If this option is used, a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the
contract price shall be furnished by the successful bidder as a condition of the
After the award of the contract
let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into,
bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code,
Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal
property taxes in Fulton County, Ohio.
The Fulton County Commissioners
reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in
any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for
a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
Special attention must be given to
all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the State
of Prevailing Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity
provisions and the requirements for a payment and performance bond for 100% of
the contract price. The requirements for
Bidders, Contractors and Subcontractors are explained in the Bidding Documents.
The Engineers estimate for the cost
of construction is $159,125.00.
