MetalX is a privately held, independent scrap metal recycling business founded in 2012 by Danny and Neal Rifkin, third and fourth generation members of the Rifkin family, whose long history in the industry is well-known. MetalX is a full-service scrap metal recycling company engaged in the business of recycling, processing, and trading of scrap and secondary metals, as well as providing consulting and management services to industrial companies. The company is focused on creating value through relationships with suppliers and consumers. Headquartered in Waterloo, Ind. the company currently employs more than 200 people throughout six facilities concentrated in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.
The company is developing its new $35 million greenfield, state-of-the-art scrap processing plant on a 60-acre site across the street from North Star BlueScope’s flat-rolled steel mill in Delta, Ohio.
When the first phase is fully operational, the facility is expected to handle over 500,000 tons per year and employ more than 80 people. Future plans will grow employment to over 100 people and annual volume to 700,000 tons.
Key ferrous operations will include a heavy-duty shredder and recovery system, a production baler, mobile shears, and a high-capacity staging and distribution yard for prepared grades. Nonferrous operations will focus on shredded aluminum recovery and industrial scrap processing. The company will also operate a full-service fleet transportation hub to support industrial and wholesale suppliers.
The facility will be the 2nd Ohio operation for MetalX, following the company’s recent acquisition of M&K Metal Processors, 6946 Co Rd 5, Delta just east of Delta. The former M&K yard re-opened on July 17 as a MetalX branded operation. This facility will remain open after the mega yard is operational, and will focus on community recycling and commercial customers, but in the meantime, the 10-acre facility allows the company to competitively service industrial and commercial generators in northwest Ohio and southeastern Michigan.
Fulton County Health Center is a critical access hospital along with a 71-bed nursing home on a 128-acre campus serving the residents of Fulton County Ohio and surrounding areas. We are located at 725 S. Shoop Ave. in Wauseon, Ohio. The staff at Fulton County Health Center are committed to providing quality, personalized health care to our area residents. When you need health care services, our staff is here for you, ready to provide quality health care in a safe and comfortable environment.
Fulton County health Center was first incorporated in 1929 when we completed the construction of Detwiler Hospital in Wauseon. In 1973 we moved into a new facility and became known as Fulton County Health Center. We adopted in our name “Health Center” as our mission was to “Serve our community to promote and provide the means for continued health and wellness”. We saw naming our facility as a Health Center allowed us to not only be a place people would come when ill, but to also come to maintain and/or improve one’s health.
Our campus also includes a 3 story Medical Office Building. In the spring of 2017, we broke ground on a new 4 story Medical Office building to be completed over the next 18 months in the fall of 2018 or early 2019. Today as always, we continue to expand our services to meet the growing healthcare needs of our local residents.
